What is your favorite piece of work that you have created?
A California King size quilt for adopted mom called Mn Row by Row. Another for my sister/best friend called Dancing in the Moon Light.
What are your goals for the future, both artistically and in life?
That Swam Angel Designs becomes well known and provides lasting effects on buyer and the artist.
What are you currently working on?
I always have many projects going at the same time.
Do you have any other interesting hobbies or maybe a fun story about an experience involving your artwork?
I enjoy leatherworking, stained glass, woodworking and making special things for nieces and nephews.
What is your strongest memory of your childhood?
Learning to run all kinds of heavy equipment.
What jobs other than being an artist have you done?
Twelve years being NAR/HHA and always found great satisfaction in helping the sick and elderly.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I sew, hand embroidery, paint, draw and capable of displaying mechanical knowledge if needed. I proudly hold a DCL with doubles, triples, tankers and hazmat endorsements.
Do you have any tips or inspiring words for others?
Do not let anything…people’s opinions, physical limitations or your own lack of self-confidence deter you from what you want to do or try. You are stronger than you may think.
Where do you gather most of your inspiration for your artwork?
I was blessed with having a very active imagination.
