I developed an appreciation for working with wood when I was eight years old and my dad taught me how to use his old scroll saw. I began building furniture when I was fourteen and will always appreciate fine craftsmanship. My love of steam locomotives goes back to the same era, as I stood on a trestle near our home and watched those magnificent machines pass underneath me.
I grew up in St Paul, the tenth of twelve children. My wife and I moved to McGregor in 2014. We have three children and six grandchildren. I also enjoy playing guitar and sing professionally throughout the area with my wife, Jan. I currently work at Aitkin Health Services as the Maintenance Director.
